Allright a new Taylor Forum! Looking forward to getting to know everyone. I am a long time Taylor Player. I bought my first Taylor in 1994. I have a 414, 614 and a GS8. I enjoy playing them and doing repair work on guitars.

good to see you here
that's a nice selection of Taylors you have there
i was just curious which Taylor model you purchased in 94 was,
as the the earliest 614 was made in 96, 414 in 97 & GS8 in 07
any repair stories or pics you'd like to share, we'd love to hear/see 'em

I will have to check the date on my 414 I could be wrong. I bought the 414 and then bought the 614 in 96. My son has my 414. He is playing a gig out of town this weekend. But I checked the date in my 614 and it's 96. My GS8 is a 2006. Hope that helps.

Hi Satsuki and welcome to the forum.
Yes, I am so glad jjrpilot created this forum so everyone can still talk about Taylors. So how did you get involved with guitar repairs? Were you doing that before you got your Taylor, or did you start later?

Welcome, Satsuki!
I'll bet with your guitar repair knowledge, you'll be a super resource for the technical questions that folks ask!

Thanks for the welcomes. I started messing around with fixing an old guitar that I had as a kid. I would hang out at our local guitar store and ask the owner lots of questions. He would let me watch him work on guitars. The rest is from books and working on friends cheap guitars. I gained the skills and confidence to move on to working on pricer guitars.
