Taylor Primetime - Hug Your Haters, Original Jingle :)

i watch every episode of Taylor’s primetime on tuesday night at 9pm EST.

in 2020, they asked for song submissions for a segment they call “Hug your haters”, Jay Parkin would read angry comments or emails and acknowledge them with a virtual hug lol

as the hate essentially stopped coming in, the segment kind of shifted away

i kept the video private bc they were considering doing a contest, but since so much time has passed, i decided to make it public

the lyrics are the description of the video but it’s about an angry person who can’t stand the show and life, so he makes fun of the hosts. after the first chorus, where he gets a virtual hug, his spirits are uplifted. then i added a hilarious touch to the end of the song

it’s played on my custom taylor cedar/cocobolo gc 12 fret, and yes the shirt im wearing is intentional - i put a lot of thought into this!

nice video. how do you compare the sound between the 2017 BTO GC 12 fret - lutz/cocobolo and the Cedar? I have a BTO 12 fret spruce/cocobolo. i prefer it for strumming. my 812ce 12 fret for picking....it sound clearer....

nice video. how do you compare the sound between the 2017 BTO GC 12 fret - lutz/cocobolo and the Cedar? I have a BTO 12 fret spruce/cocobolo. i prefer it for strumming. my 812ce 12 fret for picking....it sound clearer....

lutz/coco is sweeter, more mellow, has exceptional balance across all strings and sounds very pure. it is my favorite taylor

cedar/coco is louder, stronger bass and has great high end sparkle

i have videos comparing these with a cedar/coco lowden, although the lowden was literally 1 day old at the time lol

I do indeed have that, and wow, what a sound. Brings the smile every time I play it. I usually keep it in drop D but it just sings no matter what I do. I have enjoyed your videos, keep ‘em coming.
