Title: Hi everyone!
Post by: Supaflavenoid on July 20, 2019, 06:13:48 AM
I'm a new member and just thought I'd say hi and give a little info about me.

I've been playing guitar for 30 years and working on them in some form or another for 27 of those. I am a Taylor employee (around 13 years) as the final assembly trainer/inspector and an avid Taylor fan. My main acoustic is a 614ce (year 2000) and have owned a 714ce, 810, 414ce, a BTO (coco back/sides, sinker redwood top, koa binding + all the bells and whistles) and various GS Minis. I build electric guitars sometimes as a hobby(mostly as gifts, but rarely sell them) and do a ton of guitar tech work on the side (used to be paid in beer, but now the work is stacking up and I can't drink THAT much beer).

I'm not here as an official Taylor rep., but as a fan. Hopefully, I can add some light from an insider perspective, yet there will probably be things that I can't chime in on, like unconfirmed rumor mill and upcoming release stuff, but I'll try and post some pics of the guitars I get to work on.

I look forward to discussing and learning with all of you and I hope I can be some help to at least some of you (from the threads I've read, you all are pretty knowledgable already).

Welcome! I will echo zeebow's accolades about Taylor's repair shop. I've had several of my Taylors in the El Cajon shop for refresh  etc. Their work is top notch. Glad you could join us!
