Hi Folks - Thought I'd check in and introduce myself. Been playing for decades but you'd never know it from listening to me. (sigh)
I own a 2009 816ce, and I just picked up a brand new 414ce Limited Edition Black Limba. It's a fabulous guitar. I also own a Godin A6 Ultra Koa, and an old Martin Shenandoah HD-2832. Looking forward to being a participating member of the community.
Here are a few pics of the 414:

Wow, that black limba looks spectacular! How does it sound, in comparison to other tonewoods?
Welcome, I'm 60 miles south of the bridge. :)

It sounds great - definitely has a punch to it, a bit bright, but it's brand new. It plays great and the v-class bracing lives up to its marketing regarding intonation.

Gorgeous back and sides on that guitar. Congratulations !!!!

Welcome and congrats on the new addition. Black limba, as I understand it, is a type of rosewood with similar tonal properties to EIR. It sure is a beauty! Hope you enjoy your stay with us....
