Well after 30 plus years of playing Taylors I have bought a om28 Martin.I still own and love Tayors but am tired of fighting their pickup systems.The OM28E came with the Fishman aura system which is fantastic. Why Taylor got away from using Fishman systems is beyond me.

OM28s are neat guitars. IMO, a good Martin OM still has an aura (pardon the pun) that other quality builders' OMs don't. For me, I'm an ES1.3 fan (I have it on three of my Taylors). For the rest of my Taylors, I prefer an after-market solution versus the ES2. Congrats on a great guitar!

Interesting. I can no longer deal with pre-installed electronics, besides of the buttons and battery compartment looking ugly (IMO) I feel I am stuck with the electronics. From now on all my guitars will be without it and I will run one of the great options for soundhole pickups...

BTW, congrats on the Martin. I have bought two this year alone (HD-28 and am waiting now for my D-18 VTS). Love their sound and how they roar against my body  ;D
