Title: Truss rod cover screws
Post by: boneuphtoner on May 25, 2019, 12:50:56 PM
I was adjusting the truss rod on my K16 when one of the screws rolled off my bench and into oblivion - for 30 minutes of searching, I finally found it.  Does anyone know the screw size of these?  I wouldn’t mind having a couple of spares around.

Also, does anyone know if Taylor sells truss rod covers at the El Cajon headquarters?  I wouldn’t mind grabbing a plain ebony one to replace on the 317.  I see a ton of the aftermarket truss rod covers with ornate engravings and inlays and I suppose they would sell me a plain one if I can’t get it from Taylor

Don't know the answer to either question, but would suggest contacting Taylor Customer Service; they should be able to tell you.  Alternatively, you local Taylor dealer might be able to help out too.
