Hello Strumming Fool,
Thanks also for the warm welcome to this great forum.Yes as you say,I suppose it is a blend of old & new that I have.I still love my 17 year old GA414 and it's true what's said, they do get better as they age.Pity us humans didn't do likewise :) I'm sure I'll also enjoy the benefits of my GC12ce 12-Fret DLX opening up through the years, though to be fair,it doesn't sound to bad at the moment :) Anyway, thanks to all for welcoming me aboard.
Cheers,

We think alike....I'm a fingerpicker almost exclusively AND I have a 17 year old 414 (2002). :)

Hello TaylorGirl,
That sounds like a real happy coincidence regarding your 17 year old GA414 :) I bet you also have totally connected with it over the years as I have mine.I've found it to be one of those guitars you find difficult to pass and always feel the need to pick it up and play, even if it's only for a few minutes sometimes..................continue to enjoy :)

Yes, the 414 has a beautiful aged tone. It is a guitar that will stay with me always. My other guitars have their own purpose and get their share of play, but the 414 is my workhorse for sure.
