Hi all, Glad to be a new member I do a lot of reading on forums so i am stoked to be a member. picked up a new custom Taylor from the local dealer. I have several nice martins and really wanted to ad a Taylor to the bunch.... been looking for many years for the One... have had a few get away but finally got the timing right on a custom. its pretty cool sinker redwood top macassar ebony back and sides 12 fretter with details that still blow me away every time I take it out of the case.Sounds amazing that's what drew me to this guitar.
It was built for the roadshow and when they came to our local shop a gal wanted to buy it so the left it and then she got cold feet apparently. I played it for 6 months as it hung on the wall and finally they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Short story long its now getting a workout at my house lucky me.
Glad to be a member thanks to all who spend time keeping this site running I am sure I will get lots of insight reading and learning from this group
Thanks

Welcome Chop!
Congrats on that custom Taylor. One of mine has a sinker top as well, and I love the sound I get out of it. Enjoy and post pics when you can...

Gorgeous guitar! I'm a sucker for redwood. Congrats!

Spectacular-looking guitar! Love that dramatic Macassar ebony.

Welcome. Congrats on the gorgeous sinker!

Congrats and welcome. I got my sinker topped rosewood GC 12 fret the same way, at a road show. The Road Show MC had specked my guitar for sale at a show, and it managed to stay unsold on the Road Show circuit until it made it to N.J. My favorite guitar to play, hands down (out of 14 or so in my collection). Oh yeah, my wife actually bought it for me as a major birthday present.

Wowser. That is a Gorgeous guitar. Love the extras like ebony back strap on the peghead, the detailing on the bridge, and of course the Gotoh 510s.

Big congrats! Abalone on sinker redwood really pops...quite a stunner you got there. May the honeymoon be long!

Thanks all for the kind words. I have been playing it nonstop and really in love with all of it. I have to take it in to the shop tommorow for a set up as it is getting to low. I am sure after the set it should play like butter
