My in case measurements read temp 69 deg.  55% humidity. Does this seem normal?

It seems a bit low for room temperature, but your humidity reading is within the acceptable range.

More important than any individual reading is the trend.  The amount of humidity in the wood and the rate of change is the issue.  Warmer air can hold more moisture, so that same 55% RH will be more like 50% at 75° -- also fine.
