If you're on Facebook there's a neat Taylor Guitar owner group. They have a really nice community. Go check it out and join!

Thanks for sharing this. My membership is now pending.

I’m one of the admins of this group and have now joined here also. Please feel free to reach out to me in either place!

There are several Taylor groups on Facebook. I belong to them all...I think.

No spank you! I am banned from that forum for having an opinion different than the admin bias. My life is better without that FB group. Just be careful if you disagree with their view on an issue with sound, electronics etc. The other group (Taylor USA) I was told by the owner that a T5 through a BOSE L2 sounds just like a Les Paul with a marshal stack. This from a guy that knows 3 chords so I asked him to post a video to prove that. He banned me. Some of these FB groups admins are on power trips. Just my opinion, but you have been warned. I own Taylor guitars, but being intellectually honest they have issues, especially with their sound system, battery compartments and sometimes their setups. I like forums where you can disagree or talk about these flaws without hearing how you insulted the Taylor Gods.

Joined! And then discovered that a lot of my Facebook musical friends are there too . . . .

We encourage respectful discussions in Taylor Guitars Owners Group and only ban people for name-calling, personal attacks, and other rude behaviors. We don't ban people for disagreeing or having an issue with something Taylor does. Taylor doesn't make sounds systems, they've fixed the battery compartment issue two years ago, and setups are 100% personal preference. Those are pretty easy issues. I'm happy to look into your case if you want.

If it makes you all feel any better, I was banned from the "Taylor USA" owners group too. Ironically enough, it turns out that Cliff lives in the same town as I do and visits one of my favorite local guitar stores lol.
I was banned, bc I invited him to our community. Oh well. ::)

This is fascinating stuff. This is the only forum I belong to, although I used to be an AGF and Larrivee forum member. I left them due to all the "drama", and it appears that the drama continues today... that's why I like it so much here. Respectful, civil discourse is what it's all about.

Joined... waiting for approval.

Before I left Facebook, I was a member of the group and I liked it! My only problem with Taylor guitars is that they won't give me a 916ce for free!! ;D If I were still on FB, I'd still be actively engaging in conversations.

I'm sure there are fine interest groups (and others with issues) on FB but you will never see me there for anything - period. Nope. Not gonna happen.
I go to only two places these days. Here at UTGF and the carbon fiber room of AGF.

Same here. Never on it, never will be.

Same here - I'm a big fan of flying under the radar...

I totally understand those who have no interest in FB. I always said I'd never do it. Then a good friend suggested I give it a try. I don't live for it, by all means, but I have reconnected with a lot of old friends and I am able to stay more current with family all over the country...uh, world. I can communicate quickly with people. I have to admit, it has been positive (used in a smart way). I like being better connected with my favorite businesses too.

Another news story today about how hundreds of millions of Facebook users' information has been exposed to information theft...perhaps if the environment were more controlled, I'd consider it, but the technology is moving faster than the regulations...people who care about me know where to find me, and vice versa....

A lot of it is being smart in how you use FB and what info you don't share. You have control, if you use it wisely.

Basically everyone has been banned from that group at one time or another. There are a couple nice ladies mostly running it now, and they're both in my group too. Very reasonable people.
