I re-did by acoustic pedalboard on a bigger platform. I had this board when I was in a full band and considered it too big for the acoustic rig, but dealing with broken zippers on these pedalbard cases (this one has a hard top) and always not having enough room to get all the pedals on the board that I want, I just said what the heck, I already owned it. So here it is.

Somebody likes organs...!!! :)
Just razzing you as I just recently got a C9 for my electric board. Yikes, what a seriously great pedal! I was going back and forth between that and a B9, but ultimately a used C9 popped up and I couldn't resist: love love love it! And great vids on the Mel9 ...you gotta be having fun with these boys and the looper! Great rig you have there, sir! :D

I always get a kick out of seeing other folks acoustic rigs.
Here's my gig-rig.

I'd never heard of the B9, C9 and Mel9 pedals till I saw this thread so I searched out some videos and they sound amazing.
Do they work as well in real life?

Hey Craig,
I'll let bh speak for the Mel and B9. But as for my C9, yes, it is great in real-life use. Balancing levels between organ and the rest of the band is the key, and whether you want a full-wet organ vs your guit's tone blended in. I think a real plus in making the organs more usable and "real" is having a volume pedal (which my electric board already does). The vol pedal and a bit of judicious reverb and you've got some really credible keys going on! :)
Harry,
Killer acoustic board there, sir! In addition to the obviously great strymon tones, you went whole-hog on the vocal processing, as well. I just recently got TC's Harmony GX-T. Clearly less feature laden but does exactly what I need: a couple of foot-switchable harmony settings and mild reverb to add space. It's modest compared to your vocal setup, but does me nicely. :)

BTW, forgot to offer a pic of my humble acoustic board:

Edward,
I called into a local shop and had a play with a B9 pedal yesterday.
It was certainly interesting, I used to have a Roland guitar synth back in the 80's and it certainly performs better than that ever did, I'm not sure if I could put it to good use though.
I see your point about a Volume pedal though, it would make sense to have it turned on all the time and just fade it in when required.

Edward,
I love the stacked delay effects you can get with the MXR and the Flashback! I sometimes do the same thing with the Flashback built into the VL3 into the Timeline.
How is that Baggs box?
I actually bought the VL3 to solve a couple of problems, one of which is the need for a midi-syncing looper. The midi signal from the Beat Buddy sends the tempo signal to the Timeline and the VL3. I wrote a song where I play the flute over the guitar, so I needed a looper that could sync to the Beat Buddy. The VL3 also has a standard 1/4" out for the guitar. A huge failing of the PlayAcoustic I used to use is that the guitar output is XLR only. Since I'm now gigging with a T5z, the built in bodyrez acoustic modeling is essential.

Oh man, I shouldn't look at this thread ever again. I've got an over-the-top board for electric, but have remained a purist on acoustic... until now.

Hey Harry,
Yessir, I like stacked delay sometimes. The CC is set really for slapback ...this way I can largely get away w/o reverb muddying up the tone but still manage some thickening of the tone. The Flashback allows me to tap-tempo whatever in, and stacked with the slapback can be cool. Oh, and the reverb is set super wet and deep ...it's set truly as an "effect" and not for realistic ambiance. :)
The Baggs Venue is excellent, IMHO. It is totally transparent if you set it flat as I want zero tone coloration (my peeve with acoustic amps), and why I like going into others' PA ...xlr out and I'm good to go! And the tone stack is superb with good sweep EQs, and dead-silent, overall. The tuner feature is junk. But the mute is handy of course, and the boost footswitch is nice since you can set your db of boost. Admittedly, one of the reasons I got it long ago (and replaced a perfectly fine Baggs PADI), was for its very wide range input impedance. It allowed me to run different acoustics (with diff pup systems) and get away with good, clean tone shaping (better than the PADI whose input range was narrower). But now that all my acoustics are Taylors, that's no longer a big deal. So overall, my board serves me well for what I do ...and I am resisting the temptation to expand! Same with my elec board (that has the C9). I just need to play fer cryin out loud :)
Huge props to you and others who have made the looper useful! Man, I tried ...no go. Must be me! Looping and keeping the song vibe was beyond this guy's talent. Rock on, gents!!

That's interesting, I use my DIG in a similar way. The favourite sound is set as a long multiple repeat which I use occasionally on picked arpegio type lines and I can tap the tempo for different songs, and the knob setting ( can't think of a better way to describe it) is a slapback I use for thickening up single line riffs.
Oh and the postman has just delivered a Bodyrez pedal!

Hey Craig,
You're on a slope that's awfully slippery, my friend! LOL ...enjoy it, sir! :D

Yes I know Edward, the MI Audio overdrive you suggested doesn't seem to be available anymore though.
The Bodyrez is great though, It's like a little box of fairy dust :-)

The Bodyrez can make a T5/T5z sound like an actual acoustic. I won't use my T5z without it!

This is the mockup of the pedalboard being assembled for me by Michael Helweg. It is his new flat (non-wedge) "open wing"series. It should be complete next week, so I can provide finished pictures then.. It is designed for 1 electric and 3 acoustics. With the 2 Eventide H9's I can virtually place them in series or in the fx loop (determined and saved per each patch).

My pedalboard is really simple - a Boss GT-100. No more wires and fiddling about. :) Also, it can be used for any style of music.

Just got the pics! It arrives the day before thanksgiving. Many thanks to Michael Helweg at Helwegdesigns for his creative talent.
Solid silver inputs, all soldered connections.
Can't wait to start making music.

Steve, what is the model of that power supply?

Just noticed this thread, you can get a great B-3 sound out of a POG-2. Hook that up with a Freeze peddle and you will never need a keyboard player.
