I recently picked up a pre-owned Grand Symphony Taylor that has some pick wear to the right of the soundhole, and when I purchased the guitar it was with the intent to install a genuine Taylor pick guard on it to cover up the wear. However, to my surprise I can't find the 5" GS pick guard anywhere!? Taylor store doesn't even show them, none of the aftermarket suppliers have them...nada, none?
I know that many new Taylors are coming with either no PG or with the clear static guard, but I'm shocked that i can't find the GS guard anywhere...not even on Ebay?
Anyone know why? Or...better still...where I could find one?
Gonna put a listing in the market place to see if anyone has one they didn't install....

Try calling the Taylor customer service number; if anyone has them, it's probably Taylor. If they don't have them, they may be able to point you to a dealer/authorized repair center that does.

Hi - I'm in the UK and a retailer has one here on advanced order, but it will cost £30 to ship to the USA. $53.72 in total I'm afraid.

Rockitman,
I would imagine that the pickguard you seek is simply out of stock on the Taylor Store site.
In any event, I have one new, mint condition, 5" Taylor Tortoise Shell (pseudo) pickguard
that shipped loose in case with a custom Grand Auditorium guitar I ordered/received a few
years ago. Now, I don't know if it's the same size as that for a Grand Symphony, but if you
can find that it is, it's yours if you'll PM me with an address; I'll send it on its way.
