Title: He fades away
Post by: TaylorMate on November 05, 2014, 03:50:16 AM
On this recording I played my 812 captured by a pair of Rode NT5's blended with (a bit of) the K&K pick-up. It is not a typical guitar recording but nonetheless...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvklArvG0x0

Hi Karel. What a powerful song. The lyrics bring to life the faces in the photos.

Thanks, Shayne! When I first heard it I was moved by the content and the power of the song. Since I had already one miner song on my repertoire I immediately knew I had to add this sad ballad. It made me aware of miners problems of which I was only vaguely aware. That changed completely. Black lung is still such a terrible and urgent disease all over the world.
