Well congrats and enjoy.

Just bought tickets to see Ringo and the All Starrs. How is he perceived over there these days?

Ringo is still thought of highly by this fans over here.
I haven’t seen much of him on TV over the last few years though, but I might just be missing his appearances.
I think he just released an album in the USA.

congrats mike 8)

my first taylor was a 01 314ce & i put more playing time on that guitar than any of the others while i had it -
got my eye on a 316ce & i don't know how much longer it'll be until i have no choice but to let it follow me home :)

Congratulations, Mike! :) My 314ce has beautiful tone and classy looks! Actually I prefer the tone of the 3xx and 4xx series over most of the more expensive models--I just wish Taylor would offer them as all gloss. Enjoy your 314ce and may you have many years of bonding ahead! :D

Cool! There's a lot of love for the 3xx Taylors. Real work horses.

... I just wish Taylor would offer them as all gloss ...
one year after the 314ce was introduced, there were the XXV-GA, & DR, sitka/quilted sapele models

These are beautiful guitars--and one day I hope to be able to try a quilted sapele Taylor. :) I love the tone of the regular 3xx and 4xx series though without being a Limited model, but these links are quite NICE! ;D Thanks! ;)

The quilted sapele in the video is gorgeous, and its tone is wonderful! :o Wow!!!

Congratulations!  My nephew has one and adores it. Nice, solid guitar and a real workhorse. It will be even better as the years go by.

My wife plays the one I used to have. She likes it a lot. Nice guitar and a pick up to boot.

I stop into Guitar Center from time to time just to salivate. I was in last Sunday and IMHO a 314ce was the best sound bauble in the high end room. I mean by a long shot.

Agreed... It's not a fancy guitar but is probably the most bang for the buck once you make the move to all solid woods guitars. I bought a Martin GPCPA and promptly turned around and took it back as I just couldn't get the 314CE out of my head and came home with the 314CE... No regrets. Very balanced and non-offensive in any frequency band... very well behaved on stage... Stable action... Sounds great amplified... no more Piezo quacky '80s acoustic tones...

Love my 314CE
