I've noticed a few different posts here with people looking for a BTO calculator. I put one together a couple of months ago, and posted it in the Welcome section, where it pretty much got lost. I built it in MS Access using the 2013 BTO price list is got from the Taylor Roadshow, but since it's an accdr file, you should still be able to open it, even if you don't have MS Access. I hope this helps at least one person short out their keyboard from drooling....

I would be willing to bet that much has changed since 2013.
A friend of mine bought his BTO and used a sheet found on another forum. When he approached the local dealer, the dealer sent the sheet to Taylor, and Taylor came back and said that some of the options he wanted were no longer available, or that some were available but not in the configuration my friend wanted (something about a particular binding with a certain purfling). Also, the sheet my friend used wasn't the most current, and the prices were very different.
I don't mean to negate or demean your efforts here, but if someone is going to buy a BTO, the process should start with a dealer.

I bet Taylor gets some BTO sheets that make them cringe at the thought of putting something they requested together. :o
-
also, the BTO program is now called the Custom program -
if ES2, AP bracing & 3.5 finish are offered as options, they will not be found on the 2013 BTO sheets
i second contacting a dealer to discuss potential options on a guitar & the dealer will contact the RSM to
confirm option availability & whether the guitar will, or will not, be able to be configured as desired -
there are "off-menu" options that are available from time-to-time, as well as menu & upcharge changes &
by working directly with a dealer, this will ensure the most current & accurate information is received

I'm 100% with you on that - I built it more for dreaming, as well as rough price estimating...

Honestly, I can't even imagine faxing or emailing a BTO sheet over to Taylor that I got from a client, every BTO I have ever ordered for a customer started with a phone call so we could go over the specs one by one. Oh, and although the new 2014 work sheet is still labeled "BTO", I've been calling them customs for years, which is of course what they are.
