Well I was at one of the local GCs looking for a nice backup/beater for my '08 GAce Fall Limited, and found this.

Nice! Really like the striping on the top! Congrats!
Tell us ... Woods and Sound?

Spruce top Ovangkol back and sides, ebony board. Sound wise it's very balanced, good lows but still has the characteristic Taylor sparkle... strings are a bit dead though.

Congrats, good find!
Enjoy! :)

I didn't get a chance to clean it up and restring it yesterday since I wasn't 100% sure my wife would let me keep it. After the ok from the wife I gave it a good deep cleaning. The guitar was really dusty, not sure if it's from being out at the store or whatever. Put some new strings on and the guitar sounds great. The spruce has nice grain and color to it with a bit of quilting. The ovangkol as well has some nice grain.
I went in looking at new 210s, and getting this used 410 for the same price it was a nice find.

congrats on the 410, RG :)
i can only imagine what it sounds like -
i have a 98 414 & the depth & projection are amazing
just something about those 'first year' models &
i think Taylor does exceptionally well with ovangkol
have a good 4th & enjoy 'er :D
