I know you all have heard me gripe about my 614ce not doing anything for me and wanting to sell it. Things have changed big time!! The band has been practicing really hard and long for the big show we played last night and I have spent many hours lately plugged in playing the 614! The more I heard it played through the system, the more I fell in love with the tone and the sound of this guitar!! It all came together one night this week when our guitar player who is phenomenal picked it up and just started wearing it out, I was blown away!! When I heard it from a different perspective other than wearing and playing it, the guitar is just amazing!! So much so, that it isn't going anywhere and I can only imagine what it will sound like down the road!!! LOVING IT NOW!!!

This is GREAT news! I'm glad you decided to keep it...that's what I was rooting for the entire time!!! ;D

You're actually saying two things: you dig the 614 for its timbre played live , but also that you like the 2010ES for its amp'd tone.
Maple Taylors really are different beasts, and I understand why folks don't bond with them as they really do sound/behave differently from what folks are accustomed to when playing an acoustic. But for those who "get it," they are rewarded with a superb stage instrument (though the stage is obviously not the only place one can love them).
Moreover, there is not another pickup system that I have personally used that can match the ES when used with a full band; the louder and/or more voices on the stage, the more one sees the ES shine above others ...well at least in my limited experience. Great to hear you found the love!!

I worked with a 615ce (yes Jumbo) maple Taylor trying to get it to play and sound like the 614ce (GA). Gave up, brought home a 2012 614ce, and am really happy with its tone, playability, and flamey good looks!

I played straight into the pa system last night and just tweaked my es settings to fit my needs and it just blew me away. Through my in-ear monitors it was amazing. I guess hearing it played plugged in so much just made me realize how awesome it sounds. Our other singer/guitar player plays an Alvarez that is a pretty good guitar but it just sounds so hollow and weak compared to mine. Of course, his did go down last night and his dad brought out his new 814ce for him to play, so needless to say, we had the acoustics covered well last night!! I am sure this guitar will grow on so much that I like it as much as my 810!! I just love Taylor guitars!!!
