I bought my pinless, mahogany Taylor 410 in 1991. I had never heard of Taylor, and was looking to buy a Martin. After comparing the 410 with comparably priced guitars, I fell in love immediately. It's been a work horse guitar and many people are amazed at the sound. I recently had my frets re-crowned, and changed out the tusque for a bone saddle. I play regularly in my church, and in a Celtic band. When I first played the guitar at the shop, the clerk commented that I really didn't play well enough for this guitar. Needless to say, I've improved a bit over the last twenty years or so!

Hi Khh! It's great to have you here! Make yourself comfortable...I think you're gonna like it here. ;)
As to the clerk that said that to you...well...he needs a lesson in customer service...and it sounds like he almost shot himself in the foot. Last time I checked, most sales people don't try to discourage you from buying stuff. :o ;)

Hi and welcome. How about a sound clip of your favorite Celtic song featuring you and your Taylor.

I know that song from SiriusXM on their Bootleg channel. They killed that channel in October 2012 and I didn't bother to renew my account the following month.
I'm glad you didn't listen to the clerk at the guitar store. Don't Think Twice is a beautiful song and you sound great. :)
Thanks.

Good for you for NOT listening to the clerk at the Guitar store. You should go ahead and send him/her that song.
I enjoyed your rendition of Don't Think Twice, thanks for sharing. The vocal style reminded me of one of my favorite artists, Gillian Welch.
Welcome!
