Is the neck profile of the taylor 100/200 series different from the neck profile of the 300 series and up? Because the 214 neck feels fatter when i played it next to a taylor 814? Is it just me? Or is it because of the difference in nut width? Also, if i ordered a 914 with a 1 11/16 nut width, will the neck feel the same way as a 100/200 series taylor?

That slight difference in nut width can make a difference in the overall feel of the neck. If both necks have the same depth in their carve profile, but one is narrower than the other, that neck might feel a bit "fatter" for that reason. I ordered a BTO with a 1 11/16 nut width a few years back (thinking that it would be easier on my fingers) and ultimately found it uncomfortable, because I was so used to the 1 3/4 width. So that width can make all the difference in what you're feeling. You'll need to consider that if you decide to customize that 914. Others may have a different experience, but I will tell you that my 5 GAs, all with standard carve (although the 90s models have a slightly thinner profile) and 1 3/4 nut width do not all feel exactly alike to me...but they're close enough that I can easily transition from one to another.

I can't give exact answers. I regularly play a 214ce, but have played a 314ce and an 814ce and not noticed any significant neck difference. Could be just me though.
