Title: NGD - Taylor GSmini
Post by: cigarfan on April 13, 2012, 02:59:03 PM
I recently made a trip to Denver on business for 5 days. Man, I really missed my guitars! (Yes, I missed the family and pets too!) It really made me realize how much I needed a travel guitar. While I was there I called around but no one had a travel guitar in stock. I did make a trip down to the local GC for a fix the third night. That was refreshing. But I knew I needed to pick up a guitar for future travel.

Wasn't back a day when, what do ya know, I get this PM from a fellow UGTFer wanting to trade for a GSmini.

And ... here I am looking at (and playing) a Taylor GSmini. What fun! It's so tiny but it sounds so nice! It sounds like a Taylor !!!!!!

Needless to say I am quite pleased and never again will I spend another lonely night while I'm away from home.

Pics to prove it !!!

Congratulations - I'll be a happy owner when ever they get my Ltd. in.  I'll be picking it up in Ft. Collins CO just 50 North of Denver.

Congrats! I picked one up for my wife Tuesday night. I have been messing around with it a little every day since. Today when i asked if it was ok I received a firm no and a comment about sharing being over-rated. Perhaps I will have to get my own. I am going to look for the Hog version if I do.

You are going to loeve it. Especially for traveling with. That was the reason why I bought mine. I am headed to Germany at the end of the montf for a 3 week business trip and I really wanted a guitar to take with me. I tried a Martin Backpacker. It sounded thin. The I tried a Martin LX1 Little Martin. I liked it in the store, but when I after I bought it and played it at home, it seemed to me to be more of a toy than a guitar. Now I am the happy owner of a GS Mini and understand why everyone likes them so much. "nuff said. It's amazing how much sound comes out of such a small package. The only thing I would change would be the finish on the neck to be more smooth. Otherwise I am very pleased with it!

Congratulations! (again)

Jim

Maynard: That is down right hilarious. I can almost hear her turning you down right now.

Jim: Thanks. Appreciate the quick deal on the pickup/cable too!

mgap: Looking forward to some pics.

TaylorPlayer: Glad to be in the club!
