Title: Should I go see Tony Rice?
Post by: BigSkyTaylorPlayer on March 07, 2012, 05:47:43 PM
Saw Doc Watson last year and going to see Tommy Emmanuel and Leo Kottke this summer, hoping to get a chance to see Norman Blake this year as well.

Has anyone here seen Tony live?

I did at an Elks Lodge w/a huge bluegrass, following membership.That was about 25 yrs ago and I spent about 3 weeks on "Wayfaring Stranger" afterwards. I just thought my version was good. :o

Ask yourself this: Why wouldn't you go see Tony Rice?

If you have a hard time coming up with an answer to that, enjoy the show!

I know, right... ::)

I've been spending the last few weeks learning Norman Blake songs and working on that particular style.  Looks like I'll be going to the box office tomorrow...... ;D
