I'd go if I still lived in the area.  I used to go to Melodee music all the time.  It's actually where I played my first Taylor.

Wow, wanted to say I had a good time at the Acoustifest yesterday.  Taylor guitars sent 3 of the 5 guys from Sixwire (however that math works out...) and they were good, high energy, all around nice guys - I really enjoyed their show.

Also, the Taylor staff that was there, Aaron, Zac, and 2 others (I didn't catch their names) but they all were so helpful and nice.  It was really enjoyable talking with all of them and learning more about Taylor guitars.  As I have mentioned here before I am in the market for a 12 string - they all graciously made sure I played all the one's Rob had at the store and answered my never ending questions about 12 strings.  I have my eye on a GSK-12 or maybe the 600/700 series later this year after I get my non-guitar playing spouse's approval for yet another guitar acquisition (he just doesn't understand).

There were 3 other artists there - Classical Music duo Le Chic (Cordoba), National Flatpicking Champ Scott Fore (Bourgeois), and Shaun Hopper (Martin) who opened his set with a killer version of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" and he is a very funny guy - you should hear his story about trying to explain to an audience he was playing a Martin Taylor guitar.....if you have not seen Shaun then watch this video.

IDK if they participate here but thanks to Rob and his staff at Melodee Music for a fun day.

thanks for sharing, TP516 :)

Yeah, they do sound a bit like Lonestar.  One of the guys (Robb) played a killer 912ce at the show - everytime the light hit the top it just sparkled.

Taylor is making it very difficult for me to decide what to buy next.....??? oh, silly me  ::)  - I'll get them all eventually... ;D
