Post by: tnfiddler on February 28, 2012, 09:23:38 PM
How about Phillip Phillips making us Taylor owners proud on American Idol!!  Man, he can make that GS7 talk!!!  He is so Dave Matthews Band but I am definitely voting for him!!!  Yes, I watch American Idol!!  Admit it....you do too!!!

No, I don't watch American Idol, but I knew a guy named Douglas Douglas.

You should watch it!  These guys are amazing singers, well most of them are.  Phillip Phillips wears a Taylor out everytime he has performed on there and can really sing.  He should be opening for Dave Matthews and then both acts would be the exact same style of music.

I watch American Idol & think there's a lot of talent this year!  Randy Jackson cracked me up when he tried to nail the model & wood of that Taylor, calling it 'gold' topped.  Looked like cedar to me, but couldn't tell for sure.

That little Asian girl has an amazing voice.  Too many Adele wanna-be's among the girls though.  I agree with Jimmy B - they should be more original.  Phillip isn't the greatest vocalist, but is definitely an original, and I always like the acoustic players.  Chris Allen was my favorite - the winner 2 years ago.

I agree 100%!  Jessica Sanchez is probably the best singer they have ever had on there.  Unfortunately, even though it is a singing show, the best singers hardly ever win.  It just becomes a popularity contest and their favorite even if they can't sing, wins.  Just look at Daughtry and Taylor Hicks!  Daughtry could sing circles around him and finished third and he is probably the most successful of the guys that have been on there and Hicks probably didn't sell 100,000 albums.

I spotted that Taylor right from the start.  He is a pretty decent performer.  I will freely admit it I watch American Idol, They love music and so do I.  Plus there is a lot of humorous moments with the lesser contestants.  I watch The Voice sometimes, and once in a while I watch America's Got Talent, now that show has some funny(bad)acts.

Is it a GS7 or a GA7???
if i had to guess, i'd say it's a GS7 (or GS-RC) from the contour of the upper bout & waist

Looks like a GS to me.  I guarantee you that there will be a lot of young people who never heard of Taylor guitars who will be big fans of Taylors because of him playing one.  Taylor and AI must have some kind of deal going on because you always see a Taylor guitar sitting there proudly anytime they are in the studio.  I think it's pretty cool myself.

In the "Is that a gold-top J45" episode, he clearly replies, "No, its a GA7.  I worked two jobs to pay for it".

Maybe he doesn't know what he owns or maybe its a GA7.
