Y’all been reading about it, ya? The buzz is there. Your thoughts here? :D

I listened to several videos and thought both models sounded good. They're nice looking guitars. I prefer an ebony bridge. The new long-tenon neck joint should make adjustments even easier. The price is well above what I would spend on a new guitar.
I gazed into the hive and heard the buzz. Some things never change. :)

Some things never change ...and for "some things" on forums I have witnessed like many of you, that is indeed sad. :)
It'll be interesting to see what transpires, though I personally think the Legacy is the more interesting "wait for" guitar. But having touched neither, of course, it's all speculative. The thing I don't like is the move to an older (quasi-defunct) Baggs pup system. If Taylor is, indeed, retooling for a new system, they would have been far better off simply not including one until it's ready for prime time instead of offering this cheesy Baggs unit. Well, IMO anyway. But I am also curious how the new body shape will sound as I certainly am in favor of a thinner body so long as the "depth" of tone is there.

Haven't played one yet. It looks like a very well thought out guitar but at that price it would have to be. There are so many amazing guitars available in that neighborhood. I won't say it hasn't piqued my interest though.

My thoughts are that I'm perfectly happy with what I have, other than I'd like an 811e at some point. As for the Gold series, I hope it's great and makes a lot of people happy. Not sure on the videos if I really like what I'm seeing or just wish they'd settle down a bit. But I'm getting old and obviously haven't played one.

Michael Watts review and playing
MW makes everything sound great, but this review is nice! And he is NOT a dealer, so has no skin in the game…

I Still haven’t played one. Yet…

Here’s the best video review to me, in that he plays and contrasts with a regular Taylor…. well, a V class, but better than nothing....
As always, use good monitor speakers or ear buds/ headphones.

OK, I had some time and listened to the Teja Gerken video. Quite nice. But I have already owned a very good GS, and this body shape looks exactly like a GS to me. Except for the internal bracing (yet again!!) and external appointments (did they really need to be changed?) it is not clear what this new model brings to the table. I 'll have to play one someday in person to test it. But don't hold your breath, Mr. Powers.... The Legacy series has far more appeal, unless an exceptional newer example popped up.
I fear that Taylor is now going the way of Breedlove. Breedlove makes good guitars and I have enjoyed every one that I've played, but have so many come-and-go models literally each year that I can never keep them straight.
