Title: Stringjoy Elixir and daddario
Post by: primeholy on October 31, 2024, 09:10:23 AM
I’m thinking about trying out Stringjoy coated and daddario XS coated. I have been using elixir since I got my Taylor about 8 years ago. Should I stay away from either of these?

I have no direct experience with Stringjoy, but hear decent things from those who do.  I have long used Elixir Nano PB but a recent test of D'Addario XS has been very favorable on one guitar.  After two months they are holding up very well.  My normal go-to strings are D'Addario EJ16 PB, Elixir Nano PB. and GHS White Bronze (nickel alloy).  Some guitars prefer one type over the other, and experimenting is the only way to learn.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered two sets of stringjoy, and I’m going to stop buy Guitar Center and grab a set of xs tomorrow.
