Title: Hello from Clearwater, Fl
Post by: Stevehud100 on September 10, 2024, 09:21:56 AM
Hi,

I’ve owned several Taylor’s in the past but just picked up a 214e SB-DLX.  I’m absolutely loving it!  I A/B’d it against several different 214ce standard and deluxe models and this non-cutaway model sounded huge compared to the others.  Either the cutaway detracts from tone more than is publicized or I just stumbled onto a “good one”.  Glad to be on the forum!

P.S.  tried to attach a picture but got an error - something about “attachments library not writeable”

Welcome to the forum Stevehud100.  We hope you enjoy your visits to this Forum.  I too have a Taylor without a cut-a-way and I find I use it the most out of all my guitars.  Your 214e SB-DLX is a pretty well thought of model in this corner of the world, you will find plenty of people giving you two thumbs up with that one.

There's something about the non cutaway models that might be a little 'fuller'. You did good sleuthing. Enjoy your new 214.
