Wondering about everyone's experience with these on Taylors....I just put some 12s on my 114, and they sound pretty nice. My main thing with PBs is that they can sound a little bright and metallic. The Retros are definitely mellower, but still not sure how I feel about them. It's a different tone than PBs, for sure, but seems like I lost a little low end bass and punch.

I love the Retros lights on my AD22e. They are warm sounding and I personally love the way they feel.
I also used them on a 114e I used to have.
I'm a fan

Cool, thanks. I think it may take a little while for my ears to get used to them. They do sound a little dull compared to the PBs, but that could be because the PBs are more zingy. I just put them on, so they probably need to break in a bit, too.

They do take longer to break in, give them a chance. I have used them on a few Taylors, but have mostly gone back to Elixirs PB except my 322e is sporting D’addario’s right now, in PB. I found I really liked the Retro’s on the Rainsong guitars I have owned.

Thanks for sharing this post.
I really need to try these strings on my Taylor.

Yes you should give them a try Rene. I think they'll go well with your voice. I've heard some of your videos over at AGF.
They need a day or two to get rid of initial zing.

The Retro's are great on the GS Mini with Engelmann top/Holden Village.
