This might be old news, but I was reading a marketing blurb about the American Dream models and had to wonder: Did the Taylor copywriters bother to check Andy Powers' 1981 birthdate before writing the following:
The AD17's slope-shoulder Grand Pacific design is inspired by the Laurel Canyon acoustic scene that Andy grew up with in the Southern Californian '60s and '70s. Its smooth top end and full, balanced bass go naturally with the human voice. The enlarged lower bout supplies a good platform for recording and acoustic gigging of any kind. It's the evolution of the traditional dreadnought sound. And paired with Taylor's V-Class Bracing, the Grand Pacific is better than ever.

The rest of the story....
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and bringing this to our attention. I believe they meant to say it was "inspired by Southern California's Laurel Canyon acoustic scene from the '60s and '70s that Andy grew up listening to."
Thanks,
Argel Valdez

Uh-huh. Except that's not what they wrote.

Since when have the facts gotten in the way of good advertising copy? :o

Diogenes would be hard pressed to find a truthful news article today, let alone a marketing blurb. Or an honest man.
Fact checking? Who needs facts these days?

Clearly Taylor advertising is somewhat over the top but this one? Nah, just poorly worded.
