I was at Sam Ash today and they had a new 314ce that had smaller dot inlays on it than the prior ones. Did Taylor switch to Small Dot inlays on the 314ce series for 2012?
The pics on the Taylor website shows both the large and the small ones for the 314ce.

Looks like you've discovered yet another oversight on the website... I don't envy having to clean that mess up.
But to answer your question, yes -- they've gone to small dots on the 300 series. The image that loads first is the correct one.

the 2012 300 series does have small MOP dot fretmarkers, which are also on the 3 & 4 series as well -
the one pic that shows the large MOP dot fretmarkers & a marbled stripe on the fretboard is used on all of the 300
series steel strings (including the 356ce 12 string) & it appears to be a 'place holder' pic that should be updated,
similar to the pic in the 'browse by shape' section which shows a 2011 700 series (ab rosette, rosewood binding)

They're pretty small on my GC3.

more like a Martin...

2012 models have 4mm dots. 2011 and earlier had 6mm dots.
The smaller dots look far better...

I love the striping on the fretboard of the 3 series! :D

Don't have any small dots, but they look pretty classy to me.

the GS Mini has small dots ... perhaps a 'hog top model ;)

Love the small dots. The only thing better is no dots at all!
