steeler,
It must put a smile on your face to pick her up and play. You must have loved your Grandma very much, and you picked a really nice guitar for her remembrance!
Also love the tree reflections in your pix. NICE.

Beautiful guitar! Congratulations. Where did you get the truss rod cover, if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks bo1142, I got the TRC from Bill. He does fantastic work!

How does it sound? I absolutely LOVE the GS body style. Taylor hit a grandslam in my opinion. It stil has the boom of a dread, but is able to really sing like the smaller body types. 8)

Drop dead gorgeous guitar! Who is "Bill" and where is his website?

Huge congrats! Taylors make the best 12 string ever, bar none, and I mean that without hyperbole because of tone and particularly how they play. Not to mention I love the pics with the reflections ...nice!
And as for body size, I like the look of jumbo 12s, honestly because they just look cool. But for tone and feel, Taylor's GS seems made for the 12 strings. A perfect combo of form and function if ever there is one, IMHO.
BTW, I won't pry for the story, but suffice it to say your TRC offers a wonderful tribute. Good for you for making a statement there, man. Talk about making an instrument truly special!!
