Hi all,
I like many have had the battery corrode issue with the AAs in my Taylor 310ce. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't when I plug it in. I wanted to remove the battery compartment just to have a look at the connections on it but don't seem to be able to remove the plate that covers the screws. I don't want to cause any damage so was wondering if any one had any tips on how to remove the cover plate?
Many Thanks,
Seb

I just went through this whole issue on a 2004 314ce i just picked up. The thin plastic cover that goes over the screws is attached with some type of contact cement. It can be carefully pried off with a knife after popping off the battery cover. You can remove the battery compartment by pulling it out, and unsnapping the phone type plug. However, to replace the unit, you will probably need to remove the stings, and re-plug it from the inside - tricky but do-able. good luck!
