We had to make a trip to "the big city" to get some service done on the truck. Amazingly, it went well. Since we were there and had some free time, we made a stop at Guitar Center. According to the e-mails I've been getting from them, they seem to think I needed to add a ukulele to the mix. My wife thought so, too. I had never even held a ukulele until today. I played (using that term very loosely) a bunch of them, and decided to take a baby step: I brought home a Lanikai (definitely an entry level)...
My wife wanted to make a stop at a craft store... I waited in the truck... and got the uke out. I was able to play "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for her a few minutes later. Certainly not ready for "prime time," but it was kinda fun... in a "plinky-plink" sorta way.
No, I don't plan to let it take time away from the "real" strings...
Not a bad day.
Best wishes,
Captain Jim
