T5z-12 high G giving off a strange resonance
« on: March 11, 2022, 12:54:01 PM »
At rehearsal last night, I was hearing a really strange sound from my Taylor T5z-12. It almost sounded like a high-pitched rattling in the monitor.

Checking out the guitar this morning, I'm hearing an unpleasant resonance from the high G string. It's almost like what you get when a capo isn't seated properly — but I'm not using a capo. Is it just time for new strings, or should I look at the truss rod adjustment (never done that before, so it makes me a little nervous).

Also, what strings does the T5z-12 come with? Trying to find that, but haven't been able to.

Thanks!
