So that's a Rev H circuit board, I'll be curious to see what is in your guitar now and what difference it makes.
When was your guitar made?

I can't fault mine played through a Marshall acoustic amp I get a very natural sound from my 714 CE with the Taylor E2 system, treble and bass turned down a little.

Have you had the new parts fitted yet?

I did have them fitted. I can't fault Taylor for their customer service. The new pickup was an improvement, but still not for me. I would say the ES2 want right for me. I do not think it was defective. I really like the guitar itself and could have put any other pickup in there but, being brand new I did not want to do that. This one just didn't speak to me I guess. I talked myself out of the 410CE that belonged to my friend as it sounded great plugged in but not as lively unplugged. In the end I stuck with my well worn 114CE, removed the EST and installed the Fishman. I really like the snappy quality of that one. I already owned it, comfortable with it ect. I'm happy with the way it sounds plugged and unplugged. I like Taylors better than most others I played, but this was an example of buying sight unseen not working out. In reality I had it 3 days before I plugged it in. The minute I plugged it in I think (as others stated earlier) my mind was made up. I am sure my preferences are in the minority and maybe it was the X16 body style, but I guess you like what you like.
