Incoming Taylor!
« on: April 02, 2013, 04:42:05 PM »
Hey guys! Just wanted to share my excitement about my soon to be new guitar! Well it is used but new to me :). I'm making a drive on Thursday to pick up a Taylor 816ce sunburst! This is my highest end guitar by far.. I've been fiddling around on a Yamaha FG700s :). I'll share some pictures when I get it!!

Thanks everyone! I've been checking guitar forums obsessively for months trying to find a good deal. It feels good to be committed to buying. At the same time I'm sort of scared I'll get there and there will be issues of some kind? It's an hour and a half drive! Haha I'm just being paranoid. Positive thoughts!

I just got my new 814ce cedar top. I had them do the clear pickguard- really makes a difference in the look.  Out of the box with no aging in the cedar and it players really warm !

I want to add a clear pickguard as well! Since I'm buying it used, would they do it for me and have the appropriate guard if I take it to a shop that is certified to do Taylor repairs?

They may not have the pickguards in stock, but they would certainly be able to get the right one.

Thanks! I was also thinking of getting one of those removable, static pickguards. I'll see if they have any of those.
