Been playing it all weekend, and absolutely love it! Quite a compliment to my 814ce DLX and of course perfect for fingerstyle. (Same energy playing yields greater than 2X the volume of playing the 814!)
The cedar adds a bit of mid-range bump and the koa a bit of high end shimmer. Definitely more overtones than my sitka top. The 12-fret in the GC body responds nicely to the touch - so much so that if you added adi bracing to this model, it would be excessive I think.
The stain and black binding (it doesn't look like "plastic" at all, much nicer than I thought) give it an old school vibe. Nice that Taylor used matching green abalone for the rosette and fretboard inlays. The flaming is a bit of a bonus, but it has typical 3D effect as you move it around.
And last but not least, what a bargain to get all that for what I paid! Very happy camper.
