Great news, I can hardly wait until my postman shreds mine again before he crams it in my mail box. 8)

-), Yes, my copy was a little dinged...

Great! That means I should receive mine in just a few more weeks. They're seriously slow arriving here, but I still enjoy reading them, even though I've heard most of it from fellow forum members by the time it arrives. Interestingly, though they're slow getting here, most of the time they're in relatively good shape. I suspect that one or two other guitar fans may have enjoyed them, too!

Got mine today , first in 3 years, larger than the old ones in size, great to get one. :)
-
I picked up mine the local Taylor dealer. I haven't found one in the mailbox yet.
-
Mine arrived slightly less molested than usual. :P
-
My copy arrived in today's mail, safe and sound though a bit tightly folded. That's only a week after this thread began, so that's quicker than I sometimes receive it. If I'm not around much tomorrow, you know what I'll be doing - I often read every word of 'em!

Got mine in the mail today. Man, a real beauty, that PS-Ltd sinker/ebony guitar on the back cover. :o
-
(It is considered Bad Form to leave drool marks on back covers of "Wood & Steel." You never know when someone will be wanting your copy 22 years later... ;)

You got that right!

Did you notice Bob's comment on page 11....."We do have one cool guitar product coming soon for guitars, and I think it'll be great." :o
Anticipation.....

Well, it has been a week since this thread started. I have not received mine yet. as usual. By the time I get mine everybody will have gotten theirs and digested it, commented on it and done with it. Poor, Poor Pitiful Me(as Linda Ronstadt might say). But I do live in the most sparsely populated state, and I do love it.

mine hasn’t arrived either, but i’m on the opposite coast. i nosed around the pdf already though

If it's any consolation, I didn't find the content as good as past issues. All of the gorgeous photos of the Fall LTD guitars are found online. So at least from my perspective, you aren't missing much.

I am always tempted to check the electronic version, but I want to wait to get the real thing in my hands. It is always such a treat to come home and find the W&S waiting in the mailbox, it is some kind of special!
One time my lovely wife put my W&S in a stack of catalogs destined for the recycling bin before I even got to see it. After retrieving it, my wife responded "Oh I thought it was just some junk mail", I had to implore the need and importance of this particular informational resource, she rolled her eyes.

LOL. Glad you set the record straight!
My husband actually enjoys W&S too, with all it's eye candy. He enjoys learning about the company and what they're up to.

My copy arrived.

I seem to have fallen off the Taylor mailing list, but did pick up a copy in Guitar Center yesterday. The Iron & Wine cover caught my eye — one of my all-time favorites. Taylor needs to do a Sam Beam signature model.
But what I came here to ask is this — what is the Guitar Andy Powers is holding at the back of the magazine? Sure looks like a prototype Taylor slope-shoulder dreadnought to me...

It looks like a 500 series from the fretboard markings...maybe a 518?

Yeah, you may be right. Upper bout sure looks like a slope at first glance!

Mine arrived last week (Europe) in perfect state. One of the many advantages of owning a Taylor guitar.
-
I must have got mine early...it already set me back a bunch of $!
-
It has been a month since this thread started and people have started getting their W&S. I have not received mine yet. I am beginning to think Taylor forgot me.
-
Me too, still waiting for my copy... :(
-
how long does it usually take from your first registration? I registered in August still no mag :(

Hey Guys,
I heard that Taylor may drop you after a certain amount of time since your last purchase? I haven’t gotten the last 3, and called after missing the 1st one. They sent one right away, but in spite of being told I was added back to the list I still don’t receive them. Kind of a bummer as I, like many of you, am a good ambassador for the Taylor brand. I think since 1991 I have purchased about 12 new Taylors, which I would think would keep you on the mailing list!
That said, I have found my local Luthiers shop gets many copies so I just stop by and get it after I see this thread every 3 months, so thank you guys for letting me know when to go pick it up!
