my new, used gs mini
« on: January 24, 2012, 04:20:49 AM »
ups dropped off my new, used gs mini today!!! I'm pumped as this thing is a blast to play, and i bought it equipped with an es-go pickup... the case is fantastic as well as my macbook fits so nicely in the front pocket... it's all I'll ever need to take to school!

Congrats on a NGD!  Another Mini owner here.  How are you liking the dimension of the neck?  I like my Mini, but I never have really loved it because everything feels so cramped at the nut.

its takin a bit to get used to the shorter scale and nut width and everything but I don't think it's uncomfortably small to play even though I've got bigger hands, I think in about a week or so I'll be alot more comfortable with it...

I still need to find an amp or pa system to test out my es-go which is a bummer cuz I was hopin to try it thru a pa or acoustic amp but it looks like i'm only gonna have access to an ac15 for a few weeks until school gets going back up again but I should be able to make sure it works and such... there wasn't a whole lot of packing material in the pickup box that was shipped so I'm hoping it didn't get banged around too much in transit and is ok

Congrats on the new guitar.  I absolutely love my mini.  I actually play it more than my others, and just got back from a trip with it.  I traveled very well, and I was extremely satisfied when I pulled it out of the bag and it was still in tune.  Have fun, and a warning, this thing is addictive.

Congrats!  I love mine, and I think you'll continue to love yours.

Be interested to hear your opinion of how the GS-go sounds.  I"m trying to save some cash to get one myself.

Good luck and enjoy!

Congratulations on your new guitar. I love my GSM... so much, I play it more than my full sized Taylor's. It fits me just right and is comfortable to play. I take mine with me when we travel with the rv.  It makes a great travel companion. Have fun.

Definitely not an engineering forum... :D  I'm gonna go with an old glass top table, minus the glass, but I'm not an engineer either.

Nice Mini though...  I've been close to pulling the trigger on a mini myself, but can't seem to make the commitment.
