NGD - Custom GC
« on: June 13, 2019, 01:45:04 AM »
My new Custom Grand Concert arrived this afternoon.  When I opened the case, my first impression was that it was visually stunning.  It has a  light cream colored top built from a very nice set of straight grained Adirondack Spruce.  Back and sides are Cocobolo with a nice combination of heartwood/sapwood. It's got Adirondack Performance Bracing, Standard Carve Neck, Bone Nut, Gotoh 510's, etc, etc.

I haven't spent much time with it yet, but it is really comfortable to play and sounds wonderful with a full and rich tone.  It has a great low end with directness and clarity across all strings.  It is loud for a small guitar and I expect that as it gets played in it will loosen up and raise its voice even more.

I couldn't be happier.

Makes me want to shirk responsibility’s and get to my guitar room. Fortunately my Custom GC looks a lot like yours and should sound similar, thus I know you got one phenomenal guitar! I bought mine used so I only know the “opened up” sound, but I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Congrats-enjoy that awesome GC.
