New Big Leaf Maple Guitar Week...
« on: November 21, 2016, 11:47:37 PM »
I know everyone wants acronyms in the title, but now that I have your attention  :)
Just purchased a week ago Friday:

- 614ce with Florentine cutaway
- Players pack upgrade, which includes Adirondack top bracing and Gotoh tuners
- Sounds incredible and looks fantastic!

I was in Thousand Oaks CA to see Ringo Star in concert, and had made arrangements to try out a few Taylors including the new Fall limited 416ce (Walnut back/sides) at Instrumental Music on Thousand Oaks Blvd. This was the only new 600 series I had ever set eyes on and played. And, I could not believe my ears! I went back the next morning after the concert and played again...45 minutes later it was mine! So, if you have not played a new 600 Taylor, it is really worth investigating  ;)
-2018 312ce Limited NAMM Lutz over Blackwood
-2016 614ce with Florentine Cutaway
-2012 414ce Ovangkol
-Martin 00015SM
-Martin CS 000, Red Spruce VTS top, Guatemalan back/sides.

This is one beautiful instrument! Congratulations
When you're happy you enjoy the music. But, when you're sad you understand the lyrics.

Congratulations, it is gorgeous! I tried the 614 at a FYF event, and was impressed by the tone. The beauty is nothing to sneeze at either. Enjoy!

Congratulations!  A beauty for sure.  I sure do like the color Taylor has decided to use on the new 600 series.  Good call on the Players pack upgrade, the adirondack bracing is always a plus, and I just love Gotoh tuners.

That is one fantastic looking guitar. I like the GA and GC body size better, but those look and sound wonderful. Enjoy, and Congrats

Will do...this evening. I'm a little surprised that no one commented about the Edison Cylinder record player, cabinet, and horn in the background (circa 1905)  :o

Yes I completely missed that,  I have an HMV Junior Monarch gramophone from around 1915, the horn looks identical to yours.

I don't know anything about the Edison Cylinder record player, but the cabinet is very nice looking.  Can you listen to the cylinder player or is it strictly for show?
