Taylor 110 owners string advise ,good news
« on: June 08, 2016, 11:41:13 AM »
Hello Everyone ,
I just wanted to share my string quest for my 110 Taylor.
I went on a string search and after I went thru every brand I could find at local stores. I found the golden egg of strings for the Taylor 110, of course it's my opinion, but anyone out there experimenting with strings , I may save you some money and time in your search....
Ernie ball  Aluminum Bronze .... Try them , they sound fantastic on the 110....
Pronounced bass and mids and highs just even all across. Punchy good definition.
Give them a try, I don't think you Will be sorry...
Just my opinion everyone's ear is different,so if your on a string quest start with these...

My favorite strings on my 110e are Martin Retro Tony Rice Bluegrass gauge. Amazing sound, last long and feel good on the fingers.

Elixir Poly PB Mediums for me. Clear, bright, and articulate. This is "the Taylor sound" to me. YMMV.

Thanks Eno,

I just picked up a set on ebay. They arrived this morning, so hopefully I can fit them tonight.

I really like Ernie Ball strings so I'm hoping your right. I'll be putting these on my 114.

Cheers

Paul

I have to say, I will try the Ernie Ball Strings at some point. Didn't mean to sound so closed minded. Just really captivated by the Elixir tone right now.  :D
