Wood and Steel fans?
« on: October 19, 2012, 02:32:05 PM »
Am I the only one that keeps these bad boys? I love them. It's like when I was a kid and used to wait for Nintendo Power or EGM.

I was a contributing photographer to Wood & Steel for a number of years, and always kept a couple copies of an issue if my photos were featured. I had one cover and one back cover. I might've kept a few more of those than I normally would.

I think this last issue was the first one that didn't have me listed as a contributing photographer...

I keep mine until they become an unreadable, wrinkled mess. Then, it's off to the recycling bin.  8)

You're probably the only one... I hate these things... I wish Taylor didn't produce them, or at least charged for them.

Why? How on earth is the fact that they produce them and distribute them for free even a minor issue?

Don't get me started... I also think it's ridiculous that the guitars come with a lifetime warranty. Why not just a six month warranty? Taylor also need to take a page out of Martin's book and stop reaming their bridge pins, it's not good for the consumers and ultimately has an overall negative impact on the brand.

Taylor's warranty policy is their policy.  If you have question about it; it's best to contact them directly. Openly bashing it here won't be tolerated.   I might add that their lifetime warranty is wonderful.  It shows that they stand behind their product.

Furthmore this post isn't even related to the OP's question.

Yeah, an emoticon would've helped.

Because I know people who do get all upset about the fact that Wood & Steel exists...

I think Taylor should be able to void the warranty on guitars that have been altered as they see fit
