Title: Best strings for 655CE?
Post by: rogbar on March 28, 2015, 05:16:43 PM
Any advice as to best choices for strings on a 655CE?

Thanks in advance ...

Try the elixir nanowebs in PhosBronze.  The PBs are warmer with deeper bass tone; better than the 80/20s in balancing against all those octave strings.  Great sounding strings, IMHO.  And that they last loooong is a big plus with a 12er ;)

Get the set with .012's and tune down a step (to D). You'll be holding an "Orchestra" in your lap!

I use Elixir light 80/20 at regular pitch on a K65ce
