I guess that I'll have to be the voice of dissent here. I understand that it's a matter of personal taste, but I very much prefer the larger voice of a 324 than a 322. I'd suggest that you try one out - side by side if at all possible - before taking the plunge and see what you think. I owned a 322 12 fret for a brief period, and just had a strong preference for the somewhat larger Grand Auditorium tone....

I agree with you, I like the sound of bigger guitars.

However, my brother likes smaller guitars. He swears that while we don't think they're louder, they SEEM louder because they project better. The way he explained it is that it sounds louder from a distance than a larger-bodied guitar. Whether any of that is true or not, I really couldn't say.

I just picked up a 2016 322ce 12 fret mahogany. The problem with that guitar is I couldn't put it down ! In the music store I played 4 different Taylor's all full size and one of did have IMO a better acoustic sound the other 2,were different but I didn't think better but the way the 322 felt and played I the tonal and volume difference didn't matter to me. Then I plugged them in and amplified the 322 is really nice. I play mandolin amplified in a rather loud band and got the 322 to fill in on some tunes it really shines. Maybe the fit of it feels so perfect because I'm used to the mando. But I will say this its one hell of an insturment for xx. I play for fun and the 322 is a really fun guitar to play 2 sales guys at the music store were mad that I was walking out the door with there favorite new toy !

I've had my 322e 12 Fret for two weeks now. Still can't put it down. I thought my GS-Mini was easy to play, but this one's even easier. Blackwood/hog is a great combination. Have not plugged it in yet, but plan to pull out the Loudbox Mini tonight.

Does anybody know what brand/type strings Taylor uses on the 2016 322ce ? I don't remember seeing it in any of paperwork that came with the guitar. I like they way they play & sound & want to use the same when it's time to change them?
Thanks

Took the 322e to an unplugged practice session today, with a group I occasionally play with. This thing is loud. I had to really curb my enthusiasm a few times. We have a female lead singer and she was shooting me "the look".

I just ordered a new 322c from Ted at LA Guitars. Mahogany shaded top and the new Blackwood. Yummy. Now to wait for 4 weeks!

I wanted a smaller, more comfortable acoustic for around the house an stage.

A compliment to my 2013 324.
