My niece has a Martin 00-15 guitar. It has a crack along the back of the guitar just left of the joint where the neck joins the guitar. It is about 6 inches long. We need a luthier to repair it.
So, I need recommendations, if anyone knows, a luthier in North New Jersey. They live in Oakland, NJ.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know anybody in that immediate area. But if you ultimately don't find a local luthier who is satisfactory, I would consider one of two things:
- Submit the guitar to Martin Guitars for repair; if you don't want to ship it to them, you could probably drop it off with the repair center at the factory, which is located in Nazareth, PA -- only about 85 miles from Oakland, NJ.
- Ship the guitar to Pat DiBurro of DiBurro Guitars (http://www.diburro.com) in Exeter, NH. He comes highly recommended, and performs repairs to many high-end guitars, including Martins.
Good luck!
