The Long And Winding Road - The Beatles

Don,
I actually have that Fanny album. Some good songs and some not so good but I enjoyed it at the time. I always preferred off-the-wall music anyway.

Thick As A Brick - Jethro Tull (different song; different artists)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X15PsqN0DHc

SF,

On the first day of spring, a buddy and I used to do lunch and afterward kill a six-pack on the porch listening to rock albums, including stuff like 'Thick as a Brick'. The attached reference is to the complete re-mastered album. Just don't have to turn the record over anymore.

Unfortunately we're old farts now and battling health issues. But it was good times while it lasted.

But Tull still sounds just as good. Nay, even better.

What a great album that is! I hated it when I first heard it, because it didn't follow the normal Tull format, but boy, I came to love it with repeated listening...Ian Anderson's approach to music is indeed unique. There are later solo albums that are worth a listen: "Twelve Dances With God" and "The Secret Life of Birds" come to mind. Cheers!

Jackie Wilson Said — Van Morrison
Only in silence the word,
Only in dark the light,
Only in dying life:
Bright the hawk's flight
On the empty sky.
