I'm looking for a peel-n-stick, clear pick guard for another instrument (non-Taylor, sorry), but like the one that Taylor offers. In the little bit of checking I've done, that material only works on glossy finishes. Even Taylor's is for glossy finishes. My instrument has a satin finish. Also, I'd like to get a sheet of it, because I'll have to shape my own. Does anyone know about a clear material that can be used on satin finishes?
I guess I'd be open to other options that anyone would have to offer, too. Thanks.

Alvarez has a transparent satin pickguard on the dy62c

larrivee used to have a transparent satin pickguard on their 03 series,
but they have since changed to a more traditional looking pickguard
lmii has sheet of pickguard material (i'm not sure is the clear material is glossy) &
if you happen to find the material you like elsewhere & if it does not already
have an adhesive backing applied to it, they have sheets of adhesive film

stewmac also has pickguard material, but the mylar is likely glossy

vinyl pickguards will potentially interact with nitrocellulose finishes &
screen protectors are made of a very thin film (most are glossy) -
working the air bubbles out of silicone adhesive would be a job, imho
also, that screen protector shows to have a 'silicone adhesive coating' &
even though it states no glue residue when removed, i've heard that
silicone migrates & if any finish work is needed to be done a guitar
with a poly finish, any traces of silicone will make it very difficult to do
