I have purchased a very nice Taylor 312e 12-fret that either came (BTO?) without a pickguard, or had one and it was removed.
I’m looking for a wood (rosewood?) pickguard like I’ve seen on recent 800-series models. It can be a take-off or a new one.

I got a wood pick guard from Thalia that fit perfectly and looks great. It was put on my 2002 414. Just a thought for you to consider.

I see the natural topped 811e’s have a nice wooden pickguard. That’s what I want. Taylor doesn’t offer them for sale…and the Thalia offerings just don’t do it for me.
Anybody have a “stock” one they’ve removed that they might let go?

I would highly recommend Thinwood pic guards from Artisan Guitar Creations. I have had them make a rosewood for my 800 series ( those used to be faux tortoise), and ebony pic guards for my 224 kdlx, 324 and E14. I need a pick guard for my playing style and AGC has all the correct templates for the various Taylor sizes. Perfect fit every time. I just can’t live with the plastic Taylor pic guards . These pic guards are awesome.
