I'm a new member to this group. Thanks for accepting me. I just acquired this 1978 Taylor 855 12 string acoustic guitar. It's been my dream guitar for a long time. It sounds absolutely amazing! No wonder Neil Young has two of them from the same year. I know it's rare because Taylor only made 449 guitars that year. I'm guessing it's one of about a dozen made in 1978. They made at least 4 12 string models that year. 655s, 755s, 855s, and 955's. I checked Musician's Friend, Guitar Center, and Sweetwater. The ratio of 6 strings to 12 strings for sale varies from 14 to 1 and 17 to 1. VERY RARE!
