I get excited every time I see a YouTube video where a Taylor is the instrument of choice. Watching Dave Matthews 914ce is what got me into Taylors in the first place.  I'd love to see your favorite Taylor vids. Here's one of mine, from a fantastic fingerstyle player: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00lmCk9yJNw

I am not necessarily a big fan but Jade Bird loves Taylor guitars and so do I, so she has that going for her.  In fact, as you remember she was in Wood & Steel a while back.

Although he's a long-time Gibson user, during the short lived ELO Zoom tour back in 2001, Jeff Lynne was spotted using a couple of Taylor Dreadnoughts at points during the concert:

Not "performance videos" per se but I really like and appreciate the Alamo Guitars reviews of Taylors that I find on YT. They led me to purchase a 614 V Class and yes, purchased from Alamo (for several reasons with the video demos being a small part of that).

Although he's a long-time Gibson user, during the short lived ELO Zoom tour back in 2001, Jeff Lynne was spotted using a couple of Taylor Dreadnoughts at points during the concert:

"Can't Get It Out Of My Head" (live during Zoom tour)
"Telephone Line" (live during Zoom tour)

Already getting great responses, but yours was super timely as well - I was listening to ELO this week thinking I don't know any of their songs. Thanks!

Glad to be of service!

I'm often struck by the number of people who tell me, when they hear an ELO song, that they didn't even know that the song was theirs!  The band is oddly anonymous, yet everyone knows their songs.  In fact, I've read that, of any band in US chart history, ELO holds the record for having the most Billboard "Hot 100" Top 40 hits (twenty altogether -- seven of which cracked the Top 10) without charting a #1 single.

Exactly! I've never understood how certain bands retained notoriety/popularity over decades and some don't. ELO and Jethro Tull for example. Or some that are famous (as in fill up large stadiums) in an oddly limited way geographically: Dave Matthews only in US, Manu Chao everywhere but US.

Well, at least in ELO's case, it seems they've fallen back into fashion.  No recent records released, but Jeff Lynne's ELO has been on pretty-much constant, world-wide tour for the past 3-4 years.  I'm going to catch their show in August, in Pittsburgh! :)
